Mayer, AZ. The Orme School and Northern Arizona University’s Landsward Institute will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and demonstration of the School’s new thirty-meter Meteorological Tower at 2 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010. On loan from NAU, the hundred-foot tower will record detailed data on wind, solar insulation, temperature, and pressure. Orme students and NAU’s Sustainable Energy Solutions group will analyze the data to improve mapping and understanding of the state’s wind resources.
