Arizona has three International Schools offering education with an international perspective, to international standards and preparing students for an international future.
Located in beautiful Sedona, Verde Valley School is an international college preparatory boarding school and day school serving students in grades 9-12. Each year, approximately 125 students from over 20 states in the U.S. and more than 18 nations call VVS home. The International School of Arizona in Scottsdale offers families from across the Phoenix Metropolitan valley, Pre-School and Elementary French and Spanish Immersion Programs to children ages 2-11. ISA's curriculum follows both American and European systems of education (State of Arizona, French Ministry of Education & Ministry of Education and Science of Spain). Students become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. The majority of families served come from English speaking households who would like their children to capitalize on the advantages of early foreign language learning associated with brain development and become prepared for life in our global society. The International School of Tucson, located in the University area of Tucson, offers an internationally-based and internationally-grounded bilingual programme of instruction in French / English, German / English and Spanish / English. The School's philosophy and pedagogical approaches encourage students to investigate topics without being restricted by traditional compartmentalisation or methods of instruction, and thus allow the learner to develop global understanding.
