International School of Tucson Elementary Spanish Teacher and PYP Co-ordinator  The International School of Tucson (“IST”) wishes to hear from a Spanish Teacher / PYP Co-ordinator for a possible future vacancy in its Elementary School immersion programme. The position is initially 50% teaching Spanish and 50% PYP Co-ordination; it is our intention the role will soon move to 100% PYP Co-ordination. IST is in the consideration phase of adopting the PYP. The appointee will be expected to submit a candidacy application in 2010/2011 with a view to authorisation in 2012/2013. This will be a demanding position, but will offer considerable satisfaction and may be suitable for a qualified and experienced teacher looking for a first administrative position. International School of Tucson Language Teachers / Assistants  The International School of Tucson seeks Teachers and Teacher Assistants for its Pre-School and Elementary School immersion classes. We seek English (elementary only), French, German and Spanish and teachers, although teachers of other languages are also encouraged to contact us. We also seek Play Group and Weekend Immersion Workshop Leaders. Play Groups are in essence “Mommy & Me” groups for children 6 – 36 months which meet weekly for an hour, based around games, songs, rhymes, music and movement. Days and times are negotiable. We are interested in hearing from teachers of any language. Immersion Workshops are held on weekends for children 3 – 14 years of age for two hours; depending on the ages and levels, they range from “language exposure” for beginners to literature-based sessions for bilingual students who are weak in reading and writing.
